According to Arab News, the Hariman Sharifin administration has provided an 11-language speaking robot to welcome guests to the King Abdul Aziz Complex for Ghulalab Kaaba. The robot not only welcomes guests, but also introduces the Ghalaf Kaaba factory. It has many qualities, including the ability to recognize visitors’ faces and emotions.
The robot weighs 29 kg and runs on a battery that lasts for eight hours while takes eight hours to charge. It has been reported that the sound and hands-motion may have sound dialogue with guests. The purpose of giving this 11-language speaking robot is to achieve the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, highlighting the use of technology in the vision. It travels at a speed of three kilometers per hour and can run continuously when it is connected to electricity.
