Future thinker Ray Kurzweil explains his thoughts on how humanity could experience immortality and the singularity as soon as seven years from now in a brand-new video that was uploaded to YouTube by the Adagio channel.
Both concepts may require a substantial stretch of reality, but Kurzweil and his supporters are remarkably quick. The singularity is the envisioned time when AI will no longer be under human control and will fundamentally alter civilization. To say that predicting this date is difficult is an understatement.
But, according to Kurzweil, the concept of immortality—which may be realized as early as 2030—is an essential step toward a fictitious Singularity in 2045.
