China and Pakistan prepared to enhance bilateral cooperation

Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang stated during his meeting with Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Asad Majeed Khan in Beijing that China is prepared to work with Pakistan to advance friendly cooperation, promote the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and all-around cooperation between the two countries for greater progress.

Qin said China thanks Pakistan for its steadfast support on matters pertaining to China’s basic interests. He noted that the unwavering relationship between China and Pakistan has weathered the test of time and the changing international scene.

According to Asad Majeed Khan, Pakistan staunchly upholds the one-China policy and views its relations with China as its most significant bilateral partnership.

Pakistan is willing to further expand collaboration with China in various fields, strengthen coordination and cooperation on international and regional affairs and constantly reinforce the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between Pakistan and China, he added.

They talked on bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and China and emphasized the value of China-Pakistan strategic ties in the changing regional and global environment, according to a tweet from the MFA of Pakistan.
