Punjab Chief Minister Chowdhury Pervez Elahi said steps were being taken to abolish the loan shark system across the state.
On Sunday 4th December Ulamay Karai met with the Chief Minister of Punjab in Lahore. The conference discussed the promotion of the basic principles of Islam and the implementation of Sharia law.
Parvez Elahi, while appreciating the role of scholars, said that all work is done directly with the prayers and blessings of scholars.
He also said a 10-year penalty was set for taking a private interest while a law was passed to believe in the end of the prophecy.
