Khazar Farhadov claims that Azerbaijan Airlines would soon start offering direct service to Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad. Also, it is thinking of starting direct flights to Pakistan’s export and industrial regions, which will increase bilateral trade between the two friendly countries.
The Pakistani envoy said that Pakistan International Airlines (PIAdirect) flights between Pakistan and Azerbaijan would triple bilateral commerce between the two countries in 2022.
According to a news release, the Azerbaijani ambassador, Khazar Farhadov, said this while discussing ideas with businesspeople at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).
ICCI should collaborate in identifying companies for these working groups so that the private sector can take the lead in promoting bilateral cooperation in these sectors between the two countries, he said, adding that Azerbaijan and Pakistan have formed Working Groups under the Joint Ministerial Commission to increase bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including agriculture, trade, banking, IT, tourism, transport, energy, and health.
