
On Monday, Lahore Qalandars’ left-handed opener Fakhar Zaman passed Babar Azam to become the second player in Pakistan Super League (PSL) history to reach the 2,000-run mark.
Fakhar achieved the milestone in the PSL 8 curtain-raiser that has just begun with his magnificent 50.
The left-handed batter hit five sixes and three boundaries in 42 deliveries for 66 runs.
In addition to helping him pass the 2000-run milestone, his 66-run inning propelled him above Kamran Akmal to become the second-highest run-scorer in league history.
With 64 innings completed, Fakhar has accumulated 2005 runs at an average of 31.82, including a century and 17 fifty-run scores.
