It seems like Microsoft is about to update the AI tool with a change that might bring ChatGPT back into the spotlight. In recent months, ChatGPT has become impossible to avoid.
The reason for this is that the company plans to deploy GPT-4 as soon as next week, and it might allow you to create AI-generated videos using simple text cues.
Chief Technology Officer of Microsoft Germany, Andreas Braun, shared the information at a recent event named “AI in Focus — Digital Launch” (via Heise). Braun said, “We’ll unveil GPT-4 the following week… Multimodal models, like videos, will open up completely new possibilities.
The GPT-4 large language model technology is the basis for applications like ChatGPT.
Microsoft announced at the AI presentation that GPT-4 would be “multimodal”. According to Holger Kenn, Director of Business Strategy at Microsoft Germany, this would make it possible for Microsoft’s AI to convert a user’s text into visuals, music, and video.
Microsoft gave an illustration of how a call center could use GPT-4 to automatically translate phone conversations between employees and customers into text, saving a ton of time and effort that would otherwise be needed to summarize those discussions after they end.
