At least six miners were killed in a gas explosion at the Sharagh coalfield in the Harnai district on Sunday.
Rescue workers said at least six workers were trapped inside a collapsing mine after an explosion in the Harunai district.
Immediately after the incident was reported, rescue workers and the county government rushed to begin rescue efforts, according to Levy officials.
The tax authority said the accident occurred at Shahrg Tarkh Tung’s contractor Haji Dilawar Khan’s mine where the coal was being mined.
The workers were identified as Naseeb Guru, Saafraz, Najeebullah, Lehman Ullah, Gani Lehman and Bacha Khan. All belong to the Shangla district of Swat.
Balochistan Prime Minister Mir Kudus Bizenjo drew attention to the incident and ordered an investigation into the tragic incident.
The incident was a reminder of the explosion at the Orakzai mine that killed nine workers a few days ago.INP
