At the Pakistan Banking Awards, held in Karachi on December 9, 2022, HBL was named Pakistan’s Best Bank. The Best Bank award acknowledges the bank that has made the most significant contribution to national development and the most successful management of its resources including its staff, clients, franchise, community, and financials.
This year’s awards were judged by a jury of five experts, including Shehzad Naqvi, the former regional head of Citibank Middle East and Pakistan, Syed Salim Raza, the former governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, Naved A. Khan, the former president and chief executive officer of Faysal Bank Limited, Dr. Zeelaf Munir, the MD and CEO of English Biscuit Manufacturers (Pvt.) Ltd., and Javed Kureishi
At the occasion, Jameel Ahmad, Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), was the special guest. On the event, prominent members of Pakistan’s banking and financial communities were also present.
