
Dr. Kazim Niaz, Federal Secretary of Economic Affairs Division, met with Andreas Ferrarese, Italian Ambassador to Pakistan, and Luca Maestripieri, Director General (DG), Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), Rome.
According to Maestripieri, the Italian government wants to collaborate with the Pakistani government to strengthen their economic ties, with a particular emphasis on increasing economic support through development initiatives.
According to a press release released here, he stated, “Pakistan is a very important country for us and we will continue to interact with the Government of Pakistan through our economic partnership.”
Additionally, it was mentioned that the Italian government is concentrating particularly on fostering people-to-people exchanges between the two nations.
Because of this, building connections between the academic institutions, governmental agencies, and business associations of the two nations is given top attention. The different development initiatives will further bolster and improve the ties between the two nations.
The establishment of the Italian Trade Agency office by the Italian government, which would strengthen trade links between Pakistan and Italy, was announced by the Italian ambassador to Pakistan, Andreas Ferrarese.
The guarantee made by the Italian government at the Resilient Pakistan Conference in Geneva was acknowledged by Dr. Kazim Niaz, Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. —APP
