Pakistan’s Supreme Court has banned heavy bicycles from riding on highways.

The court overturned a four-year-old Islamabad Supreme Court ruling allowing heavy bicycles on highways.
The Supreme Court has ruled that authorities have imposed appropriate restrictions on motorcyclists in accordance with the law to ensure public safety.
Judge Muhammad Ali Mazahir said the highway restrictions apply to motorcycles under Article 45 of the National Highway Safety Ordinance (NHSO).
In March 2019, the National Highway and Highway Police (NHMP) allowed large motorbikes on the highway.
