
Pakistan and Turkiye launched joint military exercises on Monday, ISPR said in a statement.
The opening ceremony of the joint exercise “ATTATURK-XII 2023” between Pakistan and Turkey was held in Tarbela on Monday. At the beginning of the ceremony, the national anthems of both countries were played. Turkish Special Forces and Pakistani Special Forces (SSG) units are taking part in the exercises.
The ISPR statement said the two-week exercise was aimed at improving counter-terrorism techniques and included field clearing, cave clearing, sniper training, unconventional explosive device (IED) training, and medical training. It adds that it will focus on The joint exercises will strengthen and further strengthen military ties between the two countries and share the experiences of Pakistani forces in the war on terrorism.
