Muslim Mother of Six Runs the London Marathon for Turkey and Syria Earthquake Victims

A Muslim woman of six named Rabina Mahmood finished the London Marathon on Sunday in support of the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria earlier this year, according to the UK-based humanitarian charity organization Penny Appeal.

Mahmood has been training for the past six months, including throughout Ramadan, while combining her obligations to her family, her career, and fasting, according to a statement from Penny Appeal. She sets a great example for everyone by demonstrating that everything is feasible when enthusiasm and determination are applied.

On February 6, one of the strongest earthquakes in the area ever recorded jolted southern and central Turkey, over 15 million people in total in northern and western Syria, and both countries.
