Pakistan defeated Iran 3-1 in Tuesday’s final to win the Central Asian Volleyball Championship.
The home team won the first two sets at 16:25 and 17:25 respectively. However, Iran recovered in the third set to win 25-23 points.
In the fourth set, Pakistan got on the ball and won the title.
The Five Nations Championship was held in Pakistan for the first time in 17 years. The event was hosted by the High School Hall of the Punjab State Sports Commission, Lahore.
In addition to Pakistan and Iran, teams from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan participated in the event.
Pakistan Social media users expressed their joy at the victory and praised the team’s performance when his team defeated former champions Iran.
