Pakistan Navy seizes drugs worth Rs 8.6 crore in Arabian Sea

Two Pakistan Navy vessels, in cooperation with the PN Air Force, recently seized about 5,800 kg of narcotics worth 8.6 billion rupees during operations in the North Arabian Sea, PN said in a statement.

Further, it is stated that naval vessels spotted and effectively sabotaged two of her suspected vessels while conducting coast guard operations in the North Arabian Sea.

The investigation seized a large amount of drugs worth Rs 8.6 crore from the international market.

PN said both suspected vessels had been handed over to law enforcement for further legal action under the country’s laws.

“Pakistan Navy is on alert to counter illegal activities and protect its maritime borders,” a press statement said.

“PN continues to demonstrate our national resolve to deter, discourage, deter, and stop illegal activities along strategically important waterways in the Arabian Sea,” the statement added.
