A Hindu businessman in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Battagram district has gained the respect of Muslims and is receiving widespread appreciation for offering a flat 50% discount on all items sold during Ramadan.
He advertised discounts on materials for both men and women on a large banner in front of his shop, “Ram Cloth House,” in the bustling Ajmal Bazaar of Battagram City.
According to Jacky Kumar, owner of Ram Cloth House and a lifelong resident of Battagram, the offer was made in honor of the holy month of Ramazan to assist Muslims who were fasting.
“Every Ramadan, I earn a profit of between Rs. 0.5 and 0.6 million.”
