Pakistan's batting failed, being shut down for 2022.

Left-arm spinner Jack Leach claimed three significant wickets on day two of the second Test in Multan, sparking a Pakistani collapse that reduced the hosts’ innings to 202 on Saturday.

On a field that was turning at Multan Stadium, Leach dismissed Mohammad Rizwan (10), Mohammad Nawaz (11), and Saud Shakeel (63), giving England a 79-run advantage and a chance to take a commanding 2-0 series lead.

After captain Babar Azam was dismissed for 75, Pakistan lost their final seven wickets for 37 runs. Leach was helped by Joe Root (2-23) and Mark Wood (2-40).

After dismissing Abdullah Shafique on Friday, Leach led the England attack with figures of 4-98. He also scored a historic 100 wickets in his 31st Test.
