Police participating in the Zaman Park raid will be the subject of FIRs filed by PTI

A day after the Punjab police broke into Imran Khan’s home, the erstwhile ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to file first information reports (FIRs) against police officers engaged in the “illegal operation” at his Zaman Park property in Lahore.

All police personnel participating in the illegal operation and the violence would be charged, according to PTI Senior Vice-President Fawad Chaudhry. The party has called a conference with its legal team to discuss this.

He continued by saying that everything that occurred in Islamabad, including the incidents, is to blame for the nation’s continuing constitutional problem.

Fawad Chaudhry stated in a tweet on Sunday that disobeying court orders is unacceptable. The [Lahore] High Court ought to protect its judgments. We are bringing legal action against all of the police personnel involved in the illegal operation and the torture.

Likewise, PTI leader Yasmin Rashid urged the government to “act sensibly” and denounced the “atrocity and torture done inside Imran Khan’s house”.

Rashid remarked, “I think the government should act rationally and understand what display you’re putting of Pakistan right now.

It urged the administration to “act logically” and abandon its “cheap methods,” asserting once more that it was doing so because it did not want to have elections.
