Shoaib Ahmed Sheikh, the CEO of Axact, was granted a three-day physical remand by an Islamabad district and sessions court on Friday in connection with a fraud case filed against him and a former additional sessions judge of Islamabad.
Sheikh was taken into custody on Thursday by the FIA’s Anti-Corruption Circle on suspicion of buying a judge. The Anti Corruption Circle in Islamabad initiated an investigation in response to a referral sent by the additional registrar of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on February 17, 2018, according to the first information report (FIR).
