At a check point set up in Sector D-12 of the Federal Capital, two individuals who were reportedly engaged in the rape of a woman at the Islamabad Park in the F-9 Sector were shot and killed by the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police.
Details indicate that the alleged rapists began shooting at the police officers while they were rigorously inspecting every car at the check point set up in Sector D-12.
As a result, the attackers and the police engaged in a firefight.
According to the Islamabad Police, both suspects were injured when they were taken to the hospital, but they died as a result of their wounds.
Nawab Ali and Iqbal have been named as the attackers who were killed, according to the police.
They were the subject of more than 60 cases for a variety of offenses, and one of them was even wanted for murder.
It is important to note that security precautions ensured the safety of the police personnel participating in the firefight.
