The importance of UK-Pakistan bilateral trade and investment is reiterated by the visit of the UK Trade Envoy

Mark Eastwood, a member of parliament, was serving as the trade representative of the UK prime minister in Pakistan.

The Trade Envoy’s agenda includes in-depth conversations with senior members of the federal and provincial government as well as top British and Pakistani corporations in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

The trip served as a reminder of the UK’s dedication to Pakistan and the Trade Envoy’s goals for a more substantial and fruitful bilateral partnership.

After his maiden trip to Pakistan as a trade envoy, Mark Eastwood, MP, made the following observation:

“Pakistan’s future is promising. My trip has confirmed for me that there is still a lot we can accomplish together, whether it be by liberalizing trade, creating investment possibilities, introducing new technology, or assisting Pakistan in moving toward clean energy and sustainable growth. I leave with the very strong impression that our two nations are poised to become much more entwined, and I will make every effort to strengthen our bond.

Sarah Mooney, deputy high commissioner and director of trade, stated:

I was overjoyed to see Mark return to Pakistan. I am certain Mark’s visit will create new commercial opportunities, and I am eager to build on the current trade momentum.

Eastwood met with Syed Naveed Qamar, the Federal Commerce Minister, S.M. Tanveer, the Chairman of the Pakistan Business Council, Muhammad Aurangzeb, and other business leaders to reaffirm the UK’s status as a long-standing, reliable trading partner of Pakistan and to demonstrate his full support for Pakistan’s economic recovery through shared prosperity.
