KARACHI – Azerbaijan has chosen to begin operating direct flights between itself and Pakistan due to the country’s continual influx of tourists from that nation.
The news that Azerbaijan Airlines will begin direct flights to many Pakistani cities, including Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad, was verified by the country’s ambassador, Khazar Farhadov.
In order to further increase trade between Islamabad and Baku, Mr. Farhadov further indicated that the national airline of his nation is thinking about launching direct flights to industrial locations.
During a discussion with businesspeople at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI), the envoy noted that Pakistan International Airlines’ flights had a positive impact on bilateral trade.
The representative also emphasized the formation of working groups by two friendly nations under the auspices of the Joint Ministerial Commission to advance bilateral ties in the fields of agriculture, trade, banking, IT, tourism, transport, energy, and health.
Several airlines looked at the routes from the South Asian nation as Virgin Atlantic and a few other airlines left Pakistan. Ethiopian Airlines is one of them, and it will begin regular flight operations from Karachi to Addis Abeba next month, connecting Pakistan with the entire continent of Africa.
