Sindh’s transgender community came together on Sunday to launch the first-ever Sind Moolat march demanding equality and protection from hate speech.
The march was organized by the Gender Interactive Alliance (GIA) to mark International Transgender Day.
Transgender people and their cisgender allies took part in a hearing held Sunday night at Flare Hall in Karachi.
People who are transgender and from different parts of Sindh participated in this event and hoped it would be the first step to change society together.
Other right-wing groups such as Aurat March Karachi, Karachi Bachao Tehreek and Progressive Students Federation Karachi provided unconditional support to the organizers of the Sindh Moorat March.
