Turkiye's Bank to provide financial support worth Rs 3.5 crore to Pakistan

The Trade and Development Bank of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) signed an agreement with Pakistan in Istanbul on Saturday.

It aims to provide €150 million in loans for flood relief and financial support for fuel imports.

The agreement was signed at a meeting between a delegation of Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif and a delegation of ECO Trade and Development Bank led by President Yalchin Yuksel.

He claimed that after paying this promised sum, the bank’s total financial aid to Pakistan since its establishment would be about $1 billion.

The Prime Minister said that ECO Bank is a key player in the overall institutional framework of his ECO member countries and that its longstanding relationship with Pakistan is commendable. He shared that during a meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, he was told that more Turkish companies were eager to come to Pakistan.
