The UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2022 include at least 20 universities from Pakistan.
Campus sustainability initiatives are evaluated and compared using the UI GreenMetric rankings. Campus infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste, water, transportation, education, and research are among the factors used to assess educational institutions.
In the most recent rankings, Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi achieved first place as Pakistan’s most environmentally friendly university. Local officials, including the Vice Chancellor, praised the staff members’ efforts and contributions to the team.
