US Consul General and Punjab CM Naqvi discuss bilateral cooperation and exchanges

Hawkins met with Mohsin Naqvi, Acting Chief Minister of Punjab, during which both sides reiterated the importance of strengthening cooperation in various areas.
According to a press release, Mr.
Hawkins called Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi into his office and the visiting dignitary praised the chief minister’s people-friendly initiatives.
She praised Mr.
Naqvi as a very dynamic and hard-working Prime Minister and said that everyone appreciated his efforts.
The Attorney General was of the view that the government under the leadership of Mohsin Naqvi was serving the people in an effective and best manner.
During the meeting, CM Naqvi expressed interest in benefiting from American expertise, especially in increasing wheat production in agriculture.
He expressed his desire to connect the educational institutions of Punjab with the University of California and promote the construction of small houses in Punjab based on the California model.
Mr.
Naqvi also highlighted the challenge of smog and the importance of identifying its causes.
He added that all efforts were made to serve the people effectively in a short period of time.
The U.S.
Consul General expressed his intention to cooperate with Punjab in the areas of education and trade, and also expressed his desire to further promote bilateral cooperation under the California-Punjab Relations Agreement.
