Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, has declared that the 2019 Hajj will cost less than 6,50,000 rupees.
On Friday, he addressed the National Assembly and said that Makkah and Madinah pilgrim apartments had been hired at lower rates.
He claimed that initiatives are being taken to further lower the expense of the Hajj so that regular Muslims can fulfill their religious obligation with the least amount of difficulty.
- According to a government official, more than 179,210 Pakistanis would be eligible to perform the Hajj in 2023.
- He believes a written agreement will be inked during the Hajj summit in Jeddah next month.
